Calling 140tdi owners
What sort of 0-60 times are you getting? Official times seems to vary from early 8s to early 9 s. . What are the realistic times?

Re: Calling 140tdi owners
I have the 1.4 tsi 160 so not the same as the diesel obv, my time is 7.4 even though officially its 7.7 I think. So you might get slightly better with a manual shift (like mine is). In general though official times are good guide for vw

Re: Calling 140tdi owners
I own a 2.0 140 TDI R-line.
If I'm not mistaken the official time notes 9s (something like that).
But with a bit of a warm-up and some good shifting mine seems to be able to do it in just under 8s.
This is backed up by some videos I see on Youtube with people having the same engine.
Hope this helps.

Not something I've ever considered timing in a 2.0 derv to be honest.

Why does it matter? You have the 1.4?wakey1512 wrote:What sort of 0-60 times are you getting? Official times seems to vary from early 8s to early 9 s. . What are the realistic times?
The diesels seem faster than what they actually are due to the torque.

Swapped it for an indium grey 2.0 tdi quite literally this week!whiteDevil_170 wrote:Why does it matter? You have the 1.4?wakey1512 wrote:What sort of 0-60 times are you getting? Official times seems to vary from early 8s to early 9 s. . What are the realistic times?

Having timed it first hand myself I can back up one of the above statements that it'll do late 7 s with some good shifting. It's a DSG too and with the flappy paddles shifting at 3,000rpm seems to feel like a constant band of power!

Re: Calling 140tdi owners
Oh right ok. I bet it feels much faster than your last one due to more torque.
My 170 is remaped to 208 and that feels rapid.

It does feel much faster which is why I can't understand how the reviews suggest it's a slouch, it's paceful and gets to 60 in no time.. it loses pace after 60 but it's a different car altogether.. and the DSG transmission is awesome for keeping in the power in every gear..

Re: Calling 140tdi owners
I have a Sport 140hp DSG 2.0 TDI. Didn't do a 0-100kph run yet, but I will test it soon. Maybe I will do a video with my phone. It feels quick, but I found it to be quicker using paddles and shifting before 4000rpm. DSG revs it just under 5000rpm witch is stupid AF!!!
I can even notice the power the car delivers after upshifting!!
