Bluetooth
Hi Guys
Iroc i know you have fitted the Parrot kit to your car, but now that the bluetooth option is on the price list, does anyone know what it would take to be able to retro fit it, if possible at all? Im guessing there is the bluetooth module that is needed, and then some reprogramming.
Id like to be able to have a phone button that does something, and also see stuff on the touchscreen like its meant to be.
Edit: one more thing, when scrolling through artists etc on the ipod, is it possible to use the steering wheel controls at all to move up and down and select? Im finding it a bit distracting having to press up and down on the radio, then keep looking at the artists, till i find what i want

Re: Bluetooth
See attached link for the kit you need. The guy that fitted my parrot has fitted these kits and reckons that depends on which phone you have as to the functionality.

Re: Bluetooth
I am sure i have seen somewhere that the factory system can be retro fitted at the dealers. £300 comes to mind.
Someone is bound to shoot me down in flames on this. Maybe i dreamt it

Re: Bluetooth
thanks for the link iroc, seems a bit pricey considering the factory fit option is £345. Might have to have a word with the dealer, but i would quite like to do it myself if its possible, cut costs down

Yes you should be able to scroll through the tracks using the steering wheel buttonsdchuraman wrote: Edit: one more thing, when scrolling through artists etc on the ipod, is it possible to use the steering wheel controls at all to move up and down and select? Re: Bluetooth
i can change tracks when a song is playing for instance, and it will skip back and forward to the next track (or random if Mix is on), but i mean in the menu system, for example when you have a list of artists starting at 'A', i have to use the scrollbar on the screen to move down through the list till ifind the one i want, then press it to see their songs etc.
Do you mean i should be able to use the wheel to do all that?

Re: Bluetooth
Yeah it's just for changing tracks and not the artist/folder etc.

Re: Bluetooth
thats a pain, bit distracting if youve got hundreds of artists to scroll through with your left hand while looking out the window!
