I currently have a Scirocco GT 2.0tsi 210 with leather interior the car is almost a year old. I am noticing that the driver seat base bolster closest to the drivers door is badly creased and starting to look abit rough considering that the car is so new.. is this a common problem with these cars.. Would this covered under warranty only 7k miles seems excessive
When I had mine I religiously slid the seat right back every time I got out of the car to avoid any wear on the upright section of the bolster. The bottom section bolster was creased which I just put down to the design, it wasn't worn or anything but still slightly annoyed me.
It's always worthy asking the dealer, worst to can say is no.

I've heard of some people having tbem sorted under warranty and orhers being rejected. Just down to your relationship with your dealer and persistance if they say no. Call to VW UK can also help, if dealer can't.

Must give it a try when to comes to servicing time although the car will be serviced in a different dealership to where i bought it so a call to vw might be required lol.
Have found however that when getting into the car if i push the bolster nearest the door slightly to the right when sitting down by the time i get out its is much less noticable and stops the leather creasing if you know what i mean.
I've done 5,000 miles in mine so far an no signs of damage - I wonder if it's related to number of times you get in and out rather than the miles covered
One of the main reasons I looked for an early 2012 GT - with cloth interior!
The other issue a bit further down the line is the shiny seat base once its been polished up after a couple of years use- particularly noticeable if you rarely have a passenger and the left seat still looks new....

My front passenger seat has started creasing on the left side. After looking at numerous sciroccos on the web for sale all with leather it seems that every one I looked at had same problem, Passenger seat creasing on the left side.
Ill be honest as much as I love the look and feel of leather seats after having leather for 8 months it wouldn't bother me if it had cloth instead.
I would seriously recommend a leather cream. I use Autoglym leather cream regularly and it keeps the leather supple and soft and it smells nice too!!! You should also use Autoglym leather cleaner before hand to get rid of any dirt that picks up of trousers and predominantly jeans which you won't see if the leather is black!!
Of course there are other brands out there which provide the same thing but I'm an Autoglym freak!! Lol!
I also had wear to my driver seat at only 500 miles, VW would not pay full cost of retrim, "Cameron's VW of Perth picked up half the cost £150 with VW the balance,, took all the cloth seats out at 700 miles and replaced with leather.
