Rns 310 and iPhone question.. Just joined please help

Hi everyone, just joined the forum , bought myself a scirocco R and have had a fewer teething problems, the vw dealer installed a fiscon Bluetooth system, this connects to my iPhone fine but doesnt show up on the mdi just the mda on the dash, is this a common problem and can it be fixed

The other problem I Have is with the media adapter , when I connect my iPhone cable to the adapter and press the media button it says there is nothing available. I'm not sure if it is a software or firmware issue, hte current version Of Software is 0227 hardware h12

This is very frustrating , like other forums I'm sure other people have had this or similar issues so I apologise if this is an old proble.

Are you using the proper Ipod cable which comes with the car or the Iphone cable you got with the phone?

Hi. Thanks for reply. It is the short cable that came with the car. I plug one end of this into slot and the other USB end into the USB end if my iPhone lead then other end into my iPhone.

There should be 2 short cables supplied with the car. The usb one you have and another which has the iphone dock connector on .

The car should have come with both cables included; no extra charge.
