Scirocco Bluetooth not working...Help

Post by Shalins »

Hi guys,

I purchased a 2012 Scirocco R and the dealership installed the Parrot Mobridge Vw approved Bluetooth device to my RCD510, problem is that Even though I'm connected, nothing comes up on my cluster with regards to the phone, when I press the phone button, it mutes my music.

How can this be corrected that I access my phone through the RCD510 and steering wheel?

I'm surprised you needed to fit the Parrot as i thought all Sciroccos built after the end of last year had bluetooth as standard.

I have factory fit bluetooth and it works brilliantly through the RCD510, MFD and MFSW. As the Parrot is aftermarket I'm not sure it can be integrated to work with the RCD510, MFD and MFSW but someone with more knowledge will be along soon to confirm.

I didn't actually check when ordering my car, but it certainly seems to be showing it as standard on the VW website

Is it worth coding in vagcom to see if it works or not ?

I am in rugby if your near & I'll give it a go ?

Just fitted vw oem Bluetooth in my Roc last week, I did have to code it & all comes through the dash, steering wheel & hu.

Regards, Colin.

Is there different MFD's, some that can illustrate the phone menus and some that can't? I know this was the case on my MK6 Golf, there were mid and high line versions of MFD's.The mid line could not show phone menus.
