Bouncing Build Weeks
Mine's moved from week 4 to Week 48, but still unconfirmed.
Might still get it in Jan if I'm lucky.

Re: Bouncing Build Weeks
Mines gone from 48 to 47 , still not confirmed but hopeful it will this week as the car they ordered before mine has just been confirmed. The wait goes on...........
Short supply of RCD510's was the reason for the build dates fluctuating
Dealer has stopped taking any more orders as earliest build is now late March early April

Oo that could be crucial info for me.martdy wrote: Dealer has stopped taking any more orders as earliest build is now late March early April
A couple of weeks ago people were ordering and being given jan/feb deliveries. That's a bit of a jump. I wonder if they're pushing back a bit because of euro orders and/or the diesels.

Re: Bouncing Build Weeks
Mine went from 49 to 48 last week, just spoke to my dealer, he says this week it went to 2, then 7 and now is on week 9 for build.
I think I might cancel my order now, I would have accepted Jan/Feb, but not waiting till March potentially April by the time it gets on a boat, when I can easily get a decent Ex-Demo by then.
Who knows it might jump back to week 48 tomorrow dealer doesn't have any idea either, disapppointing end to a day which had been pretty crap to begin with.

Re: Bouncing Build Weeks
These planned build weeks are all over the shop.
Daren't ask again in case I went back the other way.

Re: Bouncing Build Weeks
Just had mine confirmed as week 44 (w/c 27th Oct)
The dealer said as this was confirmed, it would definitely built that week, is that usually the case?

Re: Bouncing Build Weeks
Cancelled my order, now getting a Scirocco at the end of the month
Its spec is Candy White, DSG, Pan Sunroof, Black Leather, Park Sensors, Folding Mirrors, DAB Radio and new Scirocco mats will be thrown in for free.
Car was going to be a demo and is currently in the middle of being shipped to the UK, so I've bought it before anyone will ever sit in it, it won't even go into the showroom.
Organising about getting the pedals and premium door sills fitted before I pick it up.
Car will not have Black Pearl Paint, Xenons or Sat Nav these were the extra options I had choosen, overall I am over the moon getting a Scirocco in 20 days (instead of 6-7 months) and saved £2100 from my original spec.
Just gotta sell my old car now.
Much better end to a day that has been very hectic.

Re: Bouncing Build Weeks
TBH I have been absolutely lazy about it all, still need to take off my private plate which I will do tomorrow since the new car will be arriving a lot sooner than expectediroc wrote:Nice spec, had any interest.?? How much you looking for I will ask around.

But yeah thanks if you wouldn't mind asking around, dealer offered me £6300 but couldn’t guarantee it since I would hand it in Jan and they couldn’t predict what the car would be worth then.
The basic model using Parkers used car guide should sell for £7300, this is maxed out, so looking to get just over £8000 if possible. 15k of the 35k have been on the motorway, its MOT'd and road taxed till July 2009. You might see it in the auto trader by the end of the week, but I'm going to try and put it in the Scotsman first.
