Adding bluetooth - What are my options?

Post by Paul_W »

I've got a 2010 Scirocco with the RCD510 stereo but the phone button simply acts as a mute button. I'm just toying with the idea of adding bluetooth hands free connectivity. I have the white style dashboard but no multi-fuction wheel. When I searched these forums it seemed like all the bluetooth threads revolved around the multi-function wheel. Is it possible to have bluetooth added without this?

I have just added ve oem Bluetooth to my rcd510 hu in my gt tdi 2009, awesome really, took me about 2hrs all in, you do have to code vagcom in to the car for the dash but all working off the steering wheel also.

I would really recommend this instead of anything else.

That's what I'm wondering about. I have no buttons on my wheel, the right stalk has buttons for the trip computer and the left stalk the cruise control

Been reading up on the Fiscon system. It says that if you have no controls on the wheel you operate it with the buttons on the wiper stalk. But it says you access the menus on the multi function display which I also don't have. I just have the basic trip computer (white dash) so I don't know if it would even be compatible. Maybe a Parrot system would be easier even if it wouldn't be as integrated
