OK ive had the Rocco for 2/3 weeks now but due to being away on business and the Mrs not allowing me to drive it, i finaly got my hands on it over the weekend.
Whats a great Car! I was really impressed with the MK5 GTI as a STD car but VW have upped its game with the Scirocco. MK6 GTI will have to see sum car to rival the rocco.
I totally agree. Also came from a Mk5 Gti which was a great all round motor. The Scirocco is definately a step up in many areas (except practicality). Quality is better, engine is smoother and quieter and picks up sooner . The driving experience is even more fun and I'm still running mine in! But then it should be my Golf was nearly 4 years old. Definately going to give the Mk6 Gti a test thrash when available
As for the looks - no contest
Rising Blue,DSG,Vienna Leather,Winter Pack,Pano roof,Folding mirrors,Dynaudio/DAB,Park Sensors,Cruise, Flat tyre indicator,Prem Mats+Sills,Metal Pedals,Gt Badge,Fiscon,Covered cup holder/rear cup holders.Now gone Piano Black with new Climate Control
Can agree with both the above; like you guts came from a 4 door GTi; which I though was a good car - and it was! The 'roc is better though as a car and as a drivers experience. The ONLY thing it doesn't do is transport the inl-aws across France like I did in the GTi - twice!! Solution - fly/drive and save the miles on the 'roc (and live with a Citroen C4 for a week!!!)
Great car - 3 months in and still mightily impressed...
