Need some knowledgeable help on RNS-510

Post by kyuzumaki »

I have an RNS510 (rev C) in my car and I am looking at bluetooth kits. Just wandering if the skoda seat version of the kit will work with the head unit part number 36496.

I've also been searching the forums for a less expensive option for bluetooth has anyone tried different kits? So far I've only seen the parrot kit which would be ok but I don't like that it sits above the head unit i'd really want to hide it to the right of the driver or tucked underneath.. don't know if thats possible?? Somehow capture the steering wheels phone button to answer.

Thanks had bumped into that page before, seems there isn't a cheap option really. Ive continued to look at hacking the phone button to activate a standard bluetooth system. Current best idea involves physically wiring the button into a off the shelf bluetooth fm kits answer button... not a particularly eloquent solution tho. Is there any other way to intercept the button press?
