Re: HELP! Dealer issues.

Thank you all for your help. I'll definitely be fighting this tooth and nail. My main concern now is proof a) If the dealer turns round and says prove that you haven't damaged the car yourself since you owned it, how can I? Other than it is in mint condition inside and out (or so i thought...) which...

Re: HELP! Dealer issues.

Wow, that's not sounding good. Thanks for the response. No, not good at all. Quick fire responses are: 1) East Midlands 2) Did not do HPI, like you said main dealer. It was only 3 years old at time of purchase 3) I am the 4th owner, but #2 and #3 are husband and wife all the way up in Edinburgh. 4)...

HELP! Dealer issues.

Hi Guys, could really do with some advice. I bought my Scirocco second hand from a main dealer in October 2015. Car was a dream for 9 months until we had the first bit of hot weather in May and realised the air con was not working, and do not ever remember it working. Took it to the local garage who...

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?

So today I locked my keys in the boot over 50 miles away from the spare.

Pressed the centre button on the remote, dumped all my crap inside (including my keys), shut the tailgate and hey presto! Locked out of my car for the rest of the day [THUMBS UP SIGN]

Re: Anyone selling?

I'll be honest Mark I don't think you can get a low mileage Rocco for your budget. Just punched your preferred spec into autotrader at £9k and you're looking at 80k+ miles.

I've always wondered why the gap is just SO big? Is it to wedge the car? Did VW make the boot so deep so we can fill it with bricks? Or lead?

I was giving the wheels their first thorough clean (only had the car 7 weeks...) and noticed a big gaping hole in the nsf arch liner [emoji20] http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/11/28/bd2fc8decd1a99d2ff9972399394b650.jpg So good news is with a new arch liner and 90 minutes of wrestling later, it look...

VWR Lowering Springs 25% off

Just noticed that awesomegti are doing 25% off VWR springs for the Rocco (guessing its because of Black Friday and all) £157.50 for set of four http://www.awesomegti.com/parts/suspension/lowering-springs/volkswagen-racing-sport-spring-set-vw-scirocco-mk3" onclick="window.open(this.href);re...

Re: NEW R LINE AND GT BLACK EDITION

Looks like they command a £500 premium over non-Black Edition equivalent models for which you get black roof, rear spoiler, door mirrors and wheels... I think that's it? No Black paintwork option (which would of course make the included Black additions rather pointless!). Bit surprising these are s...

Re: Help. Buying Scirocco -09 2.0 TSI.

Let's say worst case scenario that it was mapped soon after it was bought and has been "enjoyed" for over six years now, I'd be checking for engine components that have been under stress levels not intended by VW for 110000km

I'm looking for a plate for my new Rocco but christ alive have they gone up in price since I last Looked in 2009! Someone told me to look at it as an investment but the thing is if it's personalised to you then a) you're never going to sell it, just transfer it to your next car and b) only people wi...

Re: Montly payment?

Paying by PCP rather than hire purchase significantly reduces your monthly payments, however your final payment will be a balloon payment so doesn't really work out cheaper in the long run. Also placing a larger deposit, choosing fewer options, paying over a longer term and shopping around for a bet...
