With all the crappy road repair jobs taking place around Bucks, I just got a massive chip in my windscreen. I called autoglass for a repair, and they seem to think it will need replacing completely.
Is there anybody else who has had this same issue? If so, what things should I look out for to make sure they do a good job?
On a related note, why is so much road repair done where they leave masses of gravel on the road?!? Is this some cheaper option that councils use?
This kind of crappy road repair must be causing issues like this all over the place! What department of the council would be the best to complain and rant to!?!?
anyway, personal rant over!

Re: Windscreen Replacement
The same happened to me when I got a chip on the passenger side windscreen - when the Autowindscreens came out to my house he told me if I wanted it replaced it wouldn't be a genuine VW windscreen with the black dots behind the rear view mirror - so because of this I got it fill repaired for 10 GBP (No pound sign on this Australian keyboard !! Lol). You can barely see it unless you look closely - I am more than happy with it - If it was in my line of sight - then that would probably be a different story !! TJ
