My New Viper Green

Post by GaryUFM »

Finally! After months of waiting it's here! Just rolled off the truck and been inspected!!

Only one issue - dunno if anyone ese has had this (I've had with a different car): after setting the LHS mirror, I switch over to sort the RHS mirror out, and it controls both mirrors at the same time. Still, nothing a quick trip to the nearest VW garage won't fix under warranty.

that may be able to be altered in the convenience menu (as you have the gt spec), otherwise alter the right one first then the left :)

That's what I've had to do for now, but I'll check the settings when I sort it out later. Unfortunately I've had to put off mucking about with the controls and going for a spin as I'm working and have a few urgent bits and pieces to do first. Er, speaking of which...laters!

Job's a good'un, thank you Trix. Seems a strange setting to opt for though?! :?

Had a little drive in it earlier - rather embarrassingly stalled twice. :faint: Problem is I'm coming out of a long-term hire car which is an automatic, so I've not put me foot on the clutch when coming up to a stop! The engine is so quiet and smoothe that there's no chugging as the revs drop to prompt you to try and rescue the stall: the first I've known about it is when I've tried driving off again, and there's been no response! Hey-ho, I think I'm over that now! :p

yes & as with other things (number of doors opened with 1 key press, etc) that were discussed not very long ago it will very likely be key specific too

Can't stop looking at my car, it is soooo gorgeous! I can't believe there are so few VGs about.

Love driving it: the engine note is spot on & though I'm being fairly gentle with it at the Jo's, when I have dipped my right foot a bit the response is instant.

Also got my first wave from a Candy White in Hebden Bridge today. It just keeps getting better!

Thank you sir, I can see I'm in good company! :D

I know I'm still taking it easy, but very impressed with the fuel consumption: not gone below 50mpg on any journey of reasonable length. Should be able to keep it in high 40s once I start having a bit more fun! ;)

Gorgeous car, wished I could have afforded the sunroof, looks awesome, I have the same car ordered only a 140 and no sunroof ... Still cannot wait to get it, just been told it has been delayed three weeks, gutted but looking on the forum at the piccy's keeps me going, hope your having a blast.

Nice car, awesome color...in Vipern Scirocco looks great.
I just want to ask...in UK you have some benefits from goverment, if you have diesel engine ? Because I have never seen so many diesel's roccos like in UK. For example here in CZ are over 90% roccos on petrol :) .

Its roughly an extra 45p per litre here and still rising, that's why we tend to go for diesels so we can spend less time at the pump and more in the car.

Also as i have the diesel its only £30 to tax compared to £170
