My car is going in for it's 2nd service on Friday (23000 miles & 20 months old) currently on T&D regime.
This service and the next one are free courtesy of VW finance. Just wondering if there would be any difference/benefit from asking the garage to use Longlife grade oil and if I do would this incurr and additional charge?
Any thoughts?

I always have LL put in, the dealer always uses it too, i dont think it should cost you more.

I know my local dealer only uses fully synthetic longlife oil no matter what service regime the car is on

I asked the question this morning when dropping the car off and sure enough Bath VW only use longlife as well.
The VW Fox courtesy car is a bit of a shock to the system!

i was told by local vw dealer where i had my roc serviced that the oil is different dependent on which service regime your car
is set on and also if its long life the oil is slightly more expensive

Ive had the same conversation apparently VW tell them to use the longlife oil in both cases.

Looking in my service book they've ticked the box saying long life oil was used.
