Post by insanojackson »

Ok my car is a mar 2009 rocco with nav, can anyone give me advice as to how i can update the nav to the latest software (free i hope) and what advantages this might give me?

I am a tech idiot so please be gentle, I read the other thread but it might as well have been written in japanese for how much i understood it.

Mine now in dealer for its first service since new in Dec 2010. I enquired about having the latest Sat Nav data and dealer quoted near £ 200 for upgrade but he needs to check if I also need firmware update. I'll hear more early next week. More evidence for needing a Sat Nav update is the dealer themselves are no longer shown at the correct location and there are new dual carriageways near Glasgow and Bedford that are missing. So you loose Navigation as you drive over them and in one case missed the junction I needed.

I picked my R up in December 10 it had to go back in for headlight adjustment last month, the dealer handed me a V7 satnav disk to upgrade no cost just bring the disk back in when completed, cant complain at that !
