Brake Servo Problems

Post by dpac2000 »

Damn.... I thought my Rocco was fault free until this morning..
Driving along the duel carriageway and my brake pedal was jammed solid all the way up for a good 30-40 secs.
I eventually was able to use it but VW have said I shouldn't drive the car because it is almost certainly a brake servo problem.

No sure what a Brake Servo does.. but they said it can be fixed or replaced under warranty.
Car is booked in for tomorrow so I'll keep you posted

Has anyone else had this problem??

Think of the brake servo as doing for your brakes what power steering does for your steering. With no servo you need a very hard pressure on the brake pedal to do any braking - very dangerous. You should get a VW assistance tow to the garage to get it sorted.
