Scirocco R and top gear

[*]Just seen an old episode for the ford focus RS and the megane R 5162773 R or what ever it was, my question is after a bit of searching online to no avail "has Topgear done a episode on the scirocco R?"

5th Gear did something i think, but not Top Gear.

5th Gear wasn't good. Not just because the Roc R didn't come out as well as expected.

Saw that, they are idiots they said it was 261 bhp and drove it manual also only tested the speed round a track boll£)@&s test

Annoys me when reviews give a car a certain verdict based on whether they test the auto or manual. Some don't like the dsg so rate the entire car down because of that, yet you can get a manual, but there's no appreciation for that in the reviews.

Even Top Gears review of the Scirocco (non R) wasn't great, sure it had pretty much the whole episode but it was all about Diesel and how it sounds like a motor boat etc

I thought it was 261 bhp as the quoted figure is 265PS

I stand corrected just looked it is 265ps thought it was 265 bhp for almost a year now lollol

No problem it'll just feel a little bit slower now. Don't understand why they just didn't make it 272PS as per TTS / S3 / Golf R.

Top GEar do have the Scirocco on the sub zero wall though. They do appreciate the car. The review on the top gear site seems to confirm this (although they gave it a 14/20). The episode on the diesel was obviously done for laughs, cause they mock it the whole time.

I could be wrong on this but I think the Rocco R has a diffrent intercooler to the above.
