Two days after pickup from the dealer with 15 miles on the clock. A delight in so many ways.

What a pity when my finisher Lee of bespokecarcare.com found a small indentation on the roof with two holes in the top coat (see photo). Dealer was informed and the car was returned for inspection. Sadly it was the dealer’s view that was not of their doing even though the balance of probabilities would suggest it was caused during transport. Nothing in my 15 mile trip would suggest an impact occurred. As the photo shows, the marks could easily be missed upon inspection but not when carefully polished perhaps. It seems my mistake was not arranging my finisher to work at the dealer prior to pick-up. A pity to have a new VW car damaged so early in ownership. The dealer is suggesting just use touch-up paint stick.

Possibly what mine would of looked like @ stock. Very nice. Still love the green. It seems marmite with everyone I speak with face to face.

Sorry to hear about that mark. I'd be gutted, but I'm sure you could persist more if needed. I'm not sure what it may come to etc. But you should try to push more. Simply saying it doesn't look good on them and you're a moving advert for their dealership etc is a very true statement and could cost them customers. Their fault or not, people are finicky by nature and that would be a black mark against them in many books. Their fault or not. Fact is, you haven't caused it and they as a service (specially for what you're paying) aren't exactly helping or cushioning the blow!

BTW. Big thing here. You have DVD nav?

What disc did they give you???? Please say V7!!!!!!!!

Chris it looks gorgeous, the snow reflecting gives it a totally different tone  your finisher clearly did a top job & at least the mark has been picked up and you can deal with it early.

Great pics Chris! Car looking fantastic. Pity about the issue with the paint chips on the roof, at least I suppose it is in an inconspicuous area, even so, I am sure it can be fixed very easily. Yes - I wonder whether that was your car I saw on the transporter, I was going to take a pic at the time but the traffic started moving again!

From the experience I had with my front arches, as the dealer has accepted the car from WW following their PDI check, it now becomes their problem, so they are reluctant to do anything as any costs are out of their pocket.

Give VW customer services a call, thats what i did, and managed to get the defect repaired at a VW bodyshop even though my dealer wasnt willing to do anything and tried to fob me off. WV UK also gave my dealer a good roasting too :)

Loving the Viper Green by the way - i nearly went for it too.

I have a RNS 510 and it plays DVDs with the V6 Sat Nav CD loaded. Dealer mentioned something about a new version due soon.
