How much is the upgrade likely to be?

Have to say, after a few weeks, I find the nav unit pretty disappointing and my TomTom has found its way into the Roc. Like the big RNS display and the clear maps and most of the software.

But the TomTom is indispensable. Speed cam warnings, better routing - (much better in London and Germany!) and, killer-diller, accurate traffic info. Especially in London. The RNS will keep trying to guide me round traffic jams that aren't there, where as I have pretty much total confidence in the TomTom getting me through London in less time than I would take using local knowledge and back doubles.

Has anyone burned and tested?

Seriously cannot believe they gave me V5 just over a week ago. I feel bummed out of monies. God damn. Maybe it was too much for them to say when you come back in in a few feeks we'll give you a disc then or "we'll post it to you". Others may think nothing of it, but I feel gutted. Rightly or wrongly. I do feel annoyed.

gonna test tomorrow, apparently the RNS510 is notoriously temperamental with DVD's. You should have at least v6.0 if not 6.1 V5 is wayyyy old methinks, could be wrong. I'd have a moan saying its not on.

Ryy your car is not brand new therefore they are not obligated to give you an up to date cd. The car came with an up to date cd when it was built after that point it is up to the owner to buy the up to date map cd if they so choose. If you can get it out of the dealer great! but the dealer would be paying for it & that is not in their best interests. The dealers are not free to distribute up to date map cds.

Trix. It's the point that he said "here's the latest disc". When I asked him how I would get further updates he said "well this is the latest so don't for at least a few months". That's the problem. Being lied to.

ive got mine working today as well. Made a few coasters in the process. The RNS is fairly picky about media and write speeds..

Is there anything you have to do with the individual segments of the map pack when I get them from rapidshare, or do i just unzip them all into a folder and bung them on a CD.

Sorry if this is a dumb question!
