writing this from thailand where i bought my scirocco since january 2010, the problem occured two weeks ago. I drove scirocco in S mode around 40 km/h and i decided that it was fuel consuming so i changed back into D mode then there was a BANG sound (crashing) coming from the enginge that was really loud and the car struggle a bit from shifting gear, after the car was fine, i put it back to S again, from gear 2 to 3 the car gave the sound again but not loud this time but it was coming from the engine room which i assume that it was from the gear. a week after that when i put S mode to drive, there be that bang again from time to time , sometimes when it reach 4th gear and i break, the engine was jerking with the sound (like hiccup).
I took my car to volkswagen thailand. and they couldn't find a problem, so when they gave a car back to me, i asked for the VW technician to sit with me. i drove with him and the problem occured he said now he knew there's something wrong. i gave the car to VW thailand since 23 october 2010 and still they couldn't fix it. I asked for the gear change they couldn't change it. but now my scirocco is not the same, i drive it, its not so smooth anymore. This scirocco is high performance car, and when it didnt perform to the standard i hope VW has a decency to change it( the gear or the car). I have 2 year warranty to my car. your sincerely,
i am wondering that from this incidents, can the problem coming from TSI enginge, especially the bang sound or is it just from the gear that couldnt shift fast enough?? is there anyone experienced something like this?? PLease help, thank you very much.
