SatNav and Phone Holder

Post by thehippo »

Hi All,

I recently bought the Soundgate M2 holder to fix on a satnav for my wife's car and it looks really good. I hate the windscreen mounted suction holders, so this little device is a much better option and can be used for phones etc as well.

This link give an example of one being sold on Ebay

I'm always looking for a good solution to this problem - thanks very much for sharing. How many of those disc things do you get with the kit for attaching to devices (phones, sat navs, music players etc)?

Hi Candyman,

You get two discs per pack, but I think you can order more if needed.

This has been sitting in my wife's car for a few weeks now and it's rock solid - no movement at all and it looks very tidy.

Anyone any experience with the Brodit range of air vent/dash phone holders for Sciroccos. More expensive but hopefully well built ?

Cheaper air vent phone holders are of course around but not as tidy:

Hi ChrisL

I use the Brodit vent mount for my TomTom unit and I think its great. It's maybe not the most attractive when the device isn't mounted, but you get used to it. It's rock solid and makes whatever you mount easily reachable. It certainly made navigating around Europe less stressful last summer.

I would certainly recommend one!
