Bong/Gong!!

Post by andyd68 »

Hi all,

Why does my 'Roc make the bong/gong noise sometimes when I switch the ignition on? There are no warning lights showing or messages on the MFD

Thanks,

Andy

I get this too! Appears random. No warning lights / alerts on dash. Even with a full tank of fuel. I thought it was when I had the car parked in gear (i.e. The reversing sensors kicking in), but it even happens sometimes when I take the car out of gear before I turn the key :?

Mine does it too from time to time. In my case, I believe it is a seat belt warning sound 'left over' from parking the car. Sometimes I stop further away from my garage door to open it, I don't put seat belt for the 20m of driving, gain enough speed to turn on the warning sign and park like that. Every time I do this, I am greeted by the mysterious sound the next time I start the engine.
