Digital speedometer in kmh

Hi there,
just had a new Viper green Scirocco arrive today only to be told by the salesman that the digital speedometer readout cannot be changed from kmh to mph. Can this really be the case or can it be altered, any advice would be appreciated.

It can be changed, seen pics of it done on a MK6

Think you've got to change the country settings with VAG-COM, think its to "Rest of world" or something.

Read it on one of the MK6 forums, can;t remember where, and havn;t investigated it myself.
