Hi guys I have been looking at some cars and theres one with a DAB radio. Is this any good? i assume all the radio stations dont need tuning and I can get a few more out of areas. Can I get the nav retrofitted in with the DAB, or is it one or the other?
Any pics of a DAB unit would be great!
Cheers.
DAB radio
Re: DAB radio
its identical to RCD510, the only difference on a radio with DAB is that instead of the TIM function button the button says DAB. the rns510 is not available with dab because it is one or other due to space in the unit.

Re: DAB radio
It wouldn't be the deciding factor as to which car to buy, but now mine is fixed, I love it.
Radio is my driving entertainment of choice though, so it gets some use.

Re: DAB radio
I have the DAB option when I ordered my car, as I generally prefer to listen to the radio rather than my music, and wanted the ability to get as many stations as I can, and those i listen to the most are DAB only.
The reception is reliable the majority of time and, where available, automatically switches the the FM transmission of the station you are listening to when the DAB signal drops. I would go for DAB again given the choice.
By the way, the radio also does AM too.

I can rely on my car, it's my Roc!!!

Re: DAB radio
On the flip side if we are lucky we can JUST get a DAB reception 0.005% of the time if we are in the open countryside with the sun out and the day has a W in it.....
