Help! Locked out!

Post by egobreed »

My car won't open!

Just came out of a survey, plipped the boot, chucked in my back, went to plip the door and nothing happened! The car had been sitting for less than an hour.

My Boss came down with the spare key and neither of them are working.

Has this happened to anyone?

The only thing I can think of is that I drove through some deep-ish water this morning, but the car opened and started fine after lunch.

Grr....

there is a way to open the door using the old fashioned key method. There is a how to of this on the forum somewhere. I'll see if I can find it.

well done gaz man
thats the whole reason that handy tip (which is also in the manual) was put into roccopedia when someone had had the problem previously, saves potentially having to wade through pages of replies

Too late, VW assistance have already come and opened it for me. Although why they didn't just tell me that over the phone...

Yes, that was slightly embarrassing. I guess I'll know what to do next time!

Thanks guys!

:) Just think of all the evil things car sales people have done to you over the years and you realise you have nothing to be ashamed of. Did VW assistance charge you anything for..eh..you know, not engaging your noodle..? ;)
Candy White 1.4 TSI 160 - DSG, ACC, 18" Interlagos (Euro Premium&Sport packs), Alu Door Sills, Current VCDS Mods Needle Sweep, Cornering Fog Lights, Alarm Chirp, Emergency Break Warning, Dension Gateway 5, sort of..
