I'm sure the wait will be worth it Simon. It will be agony waiting but at least you know exactly where you Scirocco is.

Plenty of things to think about in the meantime.........

1) Delivery Checklist - make sure you documents are right and the Scirocco is perfect. You'll forget something in the excitement on the day so its a handy back-up.
2) Insurance docs.
3) 1st Waxing & Detailing regime and what you will be doing the first itme round.
4) What mods you be doing, is insurance happy, where to get them from or done etc.
5) Running-in the Scirocco.
6) Importantly the composition of your compulsory 1st photos in this topic! :D :photo:

And finally, and most importantly, enjoy! ;)

C.
Week 43 Build has happened on time! 22 Oct'09 Scirocco is at Check Point 5 in the factory
23 Oct'09 Now Complete on the dockside, 24 Oct'09 Sailed from Portugal, 27 Oct'09 In the UK,
29 Oct'09 at dealers
Driving 4th Nov. Sorted!

RW1,
Thanks for the pre-delivery advice.

The insurance from my golf gttdi to the roc has gone up by £30 and if anyone is interested then i think you should let the insurance know about modifications even if its the dvd satnav upgrade ect.
I was asked about any modifications and i just mentioned or listed over the phone what i had specced to be fitted by the dealer.
The lady on the phone said they would only cover dvd satnav upto a value of a £1000 so when i questioned why and that it cost in excess of that and maybe i should look for an alternative insurer then, her reply was let me look into it and ask the question,so i was put on hold and then she came back with is how is the dvd satnav fitted so i said what do you mean.
Her reply was "YOU KNOW HOW IS IT WEDGED IN" :fall: .
I had to reply with it was held in by 6 inch nails and fitted at source lol.
Actually she was down to earth and made a joke of it,so anyhow she came back and said it would be covered for the full amount and that all the factory fitted extras would be also but had to be specified on the policy.
So just be aware about my insurance experience and how it could affect others....hope this helps.

Regarding the checks yep ive a print off of what was recommended on here.
I will be claying the car pretty soon after receipt and a good clean and wax will be done.
Photos will follow soon after although i think it will look pretty ordinary compared to some of the pics posted on here.

My Insurance just ask are there any 'mods that have boost or altered the performance' so not all insurance companies want to know but as you say best to check :). Enjoy when you get her!!

Not looking forward to next week now are you ;) I was in exactly the same situation, and the days and even hours before the pick-up goes by sooo slooowly..even though the last half hour before my pick-up was fairly quick (in every aspect) as it was spent in an Audi R8 v10..
Candy White 1.4 TSI 160 - DSG, ACC, 18" Interlagos (Euro Premium&Sport packs), Alu Door Sills, Current VCDS Mods Needle Sweep, Cornering Fog Lights, Alarm Chirp, Emergency Break Warning, Dension Gateway 5, sort of..
