It was attempted a while back but the guy never came to a conclusion. Bonnet Strut Kits

The base mount point is fitted to all Sciroccos by the right hand suspension strut turret bodywork.

The problem is how to attach to the bonnet whilst avoiding the plastic trims near the right hand headlight in the engine bay. I think attaching to the lip causes a foul and strut length may dictate attachment point. The German solution attaches a bracket to the bonnet by cutting back some of the sound deadening material and riveting in place.

Rhino horn cancelled his order due to major messing around of build weeks therefore it never got further than establishing interest

Been awhile since I posted on here! Work has been mental :(

When I picked my scirocco up, the dealer told me it was a safety thing for the shorter bonnet cars - if you hit a pedestrian the gas strut could go through the bonnet and cause more damage to the pedestrian.
