VW Labs

Volkswagen has started a Labs site which looks like it might be offering 'addons' soon.
http://vwlabs.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Their first one seems to be connected to the satnav unit where you can upload extra info from an SD card.

It's only just been launched but it's probably worth keeping an eye on.

Yes I tried the search last night and it works fine on UK destinations too. I think the USA is their primary market to start with but it's usable in the UK too.

That's the site I have used to add destinations (POI) to my SD card instead of typing them in long hand. One of the advantages is it automatically has the longtitude and latitude cordinates built in giving a much more accurate, in fact pin point accuracy to your destination.

This USA site doesn't allow a choice of a Scirocco during its registration. What is the best alternative choice for UK Rocco owners ?

Does it matter? I registered so long ago I can't remember what I used, as long as it keeps doing what I need it for (POI to SD card to RNS) then all is well atm.

I presume they ask to keep you informed by email of model-specific updates ?
