Where to buy a new (or nearly new) Scirocco?

Post by antera309 »

Hello everyone! New poster here! It's good to meet you all!

After months of agonising over what to replace my trusty 2005 Golf mk5 GTi DSG with, I have finally decided on a Scirocco 2.0 TSi DSG. Let me tell you, it fought off some tough competition - the Civic Type R, the Audi S3 and the Focus RS, not to mention the Golf mk6 GTi.

The question is, where should I buy it? I'm after either new or nearly new (<10k miles), have a budget of £23k and want to get as many options as I can for my money. I know the dealerships can offer good deals sometimes, but perhaps there are websites etc. where I can get one cheaper?

Does anyone have any recommendations? Where did all of you buy your 'roccos?

I drive a: GT 2.0 TSI
In: Candy White
With a: DSG box
Options: Ex-showroom model :)
MY2010 :) white dash display and multi-function GTi-style steering wheel!
So far we've found: Flat Tyre Indicator, RNS510 SatNav with Premium Bluetooth & ipod/media-in connection, Parking Sensors (a must-have!), electric folding/heated mirrors,
Had the stainless sills fitted by the dealer, & luxury mats supplied. Fitted the covered cupholder myself

Got mine from Peter Cooper in Hedge End, Southampton - good guys - ask for Lee. I was there on Tuesday (with my Golf) and they've got a pre-owned Viper Green on the forecourt - think its a 2.0TSi, but don't know if its DSG or not  sorry

Hi antera309

I used http://www.dealdrivers.co.uk/html/scirocco.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and got approx 10% off list. Ordered first week in Jan, collected from dealer on 1 April. First class service all round - well recommended.

Welcome to the forum, hope you find what you're looking for.

i think you would struggle to get a new 2l tsi dsg for £23k in standard form never mind with extras, if you want extras then a second hand one is going to be your option

Brand new GT 2.0 TSI 210ps DSG is £22,710 from dealdrivers - but not much left from £23k for extras.
