ah excellent eric.

can you keep us upto date with how the clutch holds up?

this is the only bit that concerns me about remapping the R.

300lb ft of torque flatlined....clutch should be able to take that i'd presume. Hmmm

is that just a remap? you must be running a turbo back system to get 322bhp ???

Eric - just noticed is the 322 actually a PS reading rather than bhp? - I know they are very similar

well if u look at his standard plot it reads 280bhp.

so "potentially" the roller is overreading by 20bhp.

that would bring the headline post remap figure of 322ps down to nearer 300bhp, which is what most tuners say Stage 1 remap givers on the K04.

I think 279 is the wheel horse power (whp) and 322 at the flywheel(Eng), both after the remap!! not 100% sure though!!

would have probably been up to 330 if it had been on AMD or Superchips rollers :eyepop:

with a decent map should see a honest 310 depending on how good the intakes work on the roc comapred to its cousins

the 310 figures quoted by most tuners are based on S3 etc I doubt that many of them have had actual 2010 Scirocco R's to tune.
I have heard that the fuel pump in the EA113 engine range has been upgraded and the fact that the Rocco R has a new/larger exhaust (possibly more free flowing) could explain the extra 10hp with a remap.

My remap is a few month down the line, I would like to get some KW V3's first and run it in, but it will be interesting to see what I get from it stock (+Vpower on the Rollers in May.

Eric Did you get dyno run when it was stock ?

the 2 restrictive factors are the downpipe and cats, the 1st cat is right next to the turbo, the cat back exhaust systems dont make any difference. the other is the inlet, because it goes through the plastic engine cover, once those two are changed then the fuel pump also would need to be uprated, unless the roc is fitted with something better than the ed30 was

Hello Guy's,
I will try to answer some of your question's:
1) No we don't made a stock dyno run
2) I only got a remap there was no hardware changed
3) Jeroen Dik (JD Engeneering) is a very well know VAG tuner in the Netherlands and he is an aboslute wizzard in tuning VAG engines in the first run my car had 328 Bhp and 430 Nm on a peak moment but the curve showed a hole just before the peak. Jeroen wasn't' sattisfied with that and said to me that the engine would run to hot with that remap. He went to work again and flattened the line to the one you can see in het print out.
4) To be honest i ran Shell V-power 100 octane wenn we made our dyno run and according to an employee of JD Engeneering that added +/- 7 Bhp to 98 octane fuel in my case

Greetings,

Eric
