I'll have to correct this. Went to the dealers today... new brochure out dated 01.02.10 with Scirocco R included (4 pages). And it's got a picture for the Cornsilk leather :)

Price list still 01.01.10.

It's been available in Europe since last summer. There are 2 types of special leather: cornsilk beige(which goes very well with candy white) and another one, can't remember the name, it's black and brown. Will try to post some pictures when i get home. Both look great.

Thats very annoying! The only reason I didn't go for the leather is because I didn't want completely black seats, so I went for the cloth with the intension of getting the re-trimmed.

The two tone would have been just what I was looking for and you can pick it with rising blue without the volkwagen taste police stepping in and telling you to choose a different car colour (as it does with the truffle).

Here you go. Corn silk beige and Nougat schwarz. They look better in real life. Also, the tone of the brown is a little lighter, not that dark like in the pic.

The VW prices for leather aren't half expensive, even Audi will kit your car out in leather for less. We're also still waiting to get part leather as an option in the UK even though Europe have been able to order it for ages.

I've found a couple of other pictures, the bottom one shows what you were saying about the brown being a bit lighter:
