Detailing/Car Cleaning Bundle Kit from Autoperfection

Post by autoperfection »

Hi Guys,

We've had a number of people ask us about a Detailing Bundle Kit, and as it's something we've been thinking about putting together ourselves, we've pulled our fingers out and put some prices together!

There are a million and one different products to choose from and so many different stages and processes that can be carried out, it's difficult to know what to include and what not to include, but we've had a good think about what we would need if we were stranded on a dessert island with our car and could only have some absolute "must haves" to clean it with, and this is what we have come up with:

Double Bucket and Grit Guard Kit - it's essential to have a grit guard in your bucket, even if you're only using one, as this helps to remove any dust or dirt particles trapped deep within the fibres of your wash mitt
http://www.autoperfection.com/shop/Auto ... d-Kit.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Sheep Puppet - without doubt the best thing to wash your car with. The Merino lamb’s wool is ultra soft and ultra thick, any dust or dirt on your car will get trapped deep within the fibres, rather than being dragged across the surface of the paint
http://www.autoperfection.com/shop/Auto ... -Mitt.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Dodo Juice Born to be Mild pH Neutral Shampoo – smells delicious, makes lots of lovely bubbles and won’t strip any wax or other products you already have on the car
http://www.autoperfection.com/shop/Dodo ... 250ml.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Super Plush Drying Towel – it’s imperative to use the softest products possible during a contact wash stage, and this towel is the thickest and softest we’ve managed to find
http://www.autoperfection.com/shop/Auto ... Towel.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Dodo Colour Charged Wax – the wax you should go for will depend on the colour of your car and whether you want a hard or soft wax. The choices available are:
- Purple Haze – Soft Wax for dark coloured cars
- Blue Velvet – Hard Wax for dark coloured cars
- Orange Crush – Soft Wax for warm coloured cars
- Banana Armour – Hard Wax for warm coloured cars
- Light Fantastic – Soft Wax for light coloured cars
- Diamond White – Hard Wax for light coloured cars
http://www.autoperfection.com/shop/Dodo-Juice-1.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Soft Foam Applicator – no description needed... it does what it says it does – it’s soft foam wax applicator!
http://www.autoperfection.com/shop/Auto ... cator.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Double Plush Microfibre – it’s nice to buff away wax using a really thick, fluffy microfibre, as the thick fibres really help to ensure that all wax residue is removed. This microfibre is perfect for the job
http://www.autoperfection.com/shop/Auto ... fibre.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Bilberry Wheel Cleaner 1 Litre – out of all of the wheel cleaners we’ve tried and tested this one is by far the best we’ve come across. It’s a safe formula, which means it won’t damage your wheels within long term use (as can some of the acid wheel cleaners) and it won’t remove any wax or sealant on your wheels... and it smells nice too, which is unusual for a wheel cleaner!
http://www.autoperfection.com/shop/Vale ... Litre.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Poorboys Wheel Sealant – it’s important to get a good layer of protection on your wheels, as it not only helps to keep them looking their best for longer, but it also makes keeping them clean much easier! Poorboys Wheel Sealant is specifically designed for the job and will withstand the harsher conditions wheels are subjected to, such as high temperatures and hot brake dust
http://www.autoperfection.com/shop/Poor ... t-8oz.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Tyre and Trim Dressing – there’s nothing worse than going to masses of effort to get a car looking great and then leaving the tyres undressed!
http://www.autoperfection.com/shop/Auto ... 250ml.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Detailing Brush Set – in our opinion you simply can’t clean a car without these – the big brush is excellent for use when cleaning the wheels, and the smaller ones come in handy when cleaning the interior and parts such as the air vents
http://www.autoperfection.com/shop/Race ... h-Set.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The price for everything above, if bought separately from the shop, would be £134.50.

We’re offering the bundle kit at £120.00, including free shipping, which means you’re making a saving of £22.45 overall. This works out to be a much better deal than if you were to go onto the shop and buy everything individually and use the 10% discount forum. We appreciate that for some this might seem like a lot of money - but it is a real investment... some of the products in this bundle kit will last you for years!

There are still plenty of products that can added to this collection, such as clay kits, snow foam pre-washes, glazes and pre-wax cleansers etc. but this bundle kit is certainly an excellent starting point!

For anyone who’s interested, just let us know which wax you want to go for and once payment is processed we’ll get everything boxed up and sent out to you. Payment can be sent via PayPal to orders@autoperfection.com or we can accept card payments over the phone – 01789 490175.

If anyone has any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask... we’re always happy to help!

All the best

Taryn and Jim :)

I'm in for this but would it be possible to have a 5 litre Bilberry rather than the 1 litre (i've got three cars to clean all with alloy wheels!).

I'm interested in a kit but could do with some advice on what type of wax to go for, i've got my Rising blue Roc R coming in a couple of weeks and want to put a coat of wax on it straight away . Do I go for hard/soft, dark/warm/light wax?? And also do you think it would be worth claying as it's been built this week and i'll have it in a couple of weeks so i'm not sure if its necessary

I'm a novice when it comes to detailing, never waxed a car, a wash and spray of tyre dressing is my current regime :shake:

Croydon,

claying a new car is very worthwhile as the amount of contaiminants it comes into contact with on its trip from the factory is alot (ship grit, sea salt, transporter fumes etc etc) & if you then seal your paintwork without removing them, congrats you have just sealed them into your paintwork. its a very quick & easy thing to do & VERY worthwhile.

No problem to go for the 5 litre of Bilberry instead. The price for the complete kit with the 5 litre rather than the 1 litre will be £140.00.

Many thanks

With regards to what wax to go for, really, you could go with most of them! Purple Haze or Blue Velvet are the two colour charged waxes for dark coloured cars, but with Rising Blue you could also look at either of the warm waxes, Orange Crush or Banana Armour... really, it depends on what you like the smell of the most!!! Purple Haze is Lavendar, Blue Velvet is Blueberry, Orange Crush is of course Orange and Banana Armour is of course Banana! Whether you should go for a soft or hard wax depends on what results you want... a hard wax will give more durability whereas a soft wax will give more shine.

And finally in answer to your question regarding clay, and whether it should be done, the answer is yes... Trix has already explained some of the benefits but not only do you remove surface contaminants by adding a clay stage into your regime, but you will also notice a difference to the finish of the paintwork. Claying helps to achieve a real clarity to the paint work that is very difficult to achieve without the use of clay.

Hope this helps

Thanks for that, helps alot, well sort of as I don't know which of those scents attract the ladies the most :lol:

Anyway, I've been reading around the forum's and understand there are detailing companies who deatail brand new cars at the dealers before collection!!

Is this something you guys do? and if so, what's the cost roughly?? I'm paranoid that the car will get swirl marks when the dealers wash it prior to delivery, do you think this is something I need to worry about?

Many Thanks

Well for me (Taryn) it has to be Banana Armour! :D

In answer to your question, yes, we do carry out New Car Prep's and we can do these at the dealership without any problems. Your concerns about the dealership doing damage are completely justified... even if you don't go down the road of having a professional work on the car, we'd still strongly recommend you tell the dealership not to touch it before you take delivery. Too many times we have had to correct damage done by valeters to brand new cars.

If you do have us, or another Detailer come to do the work before the car leaves the dealership then again, yes, tell them not to have their valeters touch the car :yes:

We've sent a PM :yes:

All the best
