Spotted a Renault Megane Coupe down the A303 over the weekend. It was the first time I'd seen one and I didn't even know it existed!
Did anyone take a look at one of these before buying the Roc?
They seemed to have tried to copy the same sloping shape around the rear lights, but it didn't come out quite as well!

Re: Renault Megane Coupe
A friend at work has just taken delivery of the 180bhp version of this as a company car. The slightly odd stance and very cheap looking interior aside, the acceleration and handling was pretty underwhelming. He'd been out in the Roc a few times pre-Revo, and I think he was hoping the Megane would be pretty similar. I felt a bit sorry for him after we'd been for a lunchtime blast, as he looked really disappointed and now he's stuck with it for the next 3 years!

Re: Renault Megane Coupe
as usual Renaults designers say we want headlights here, tailights there and then just draw lines to link the two sets up. Big improvemnent over the last love it or hate it rear end. Still looks all wrong like the back end is sloping up from the back bumper instead of trying to remain low looking. The only proper coupe was the first one which came out when the megane was launched. All the ones that followed have been wrong as they have looked too similar to the 5 door.
And lets face it after 2 months there will be rattles and squeaks everywhere with trim falling down round you and like most meganes a water leak!

Re: Renault Megane Coupe
Is it just me or does the ride height seem really high, and the wheels really small? I'm happy that if someone asked me 'is that your car?' I could reply, no, f*ck off mate, I've got a scirocco!jc74 wrote:Spotted a Renault Megane Coupe down the A303 over the weekend. It was the first time I'd seen one and I didn't even know it existed!
