Strange N75 issue

Post by NathanG »

Hi all, wondering if anyone has seen this issue before..
Car threw a p299 code recently, underbooting, always came on under load at around 3k.
I suspected the actuator or n75 Valve so I brought both.
Changed turbo actuator. Turbo is the Garrat one.
Same issue.
Got a n75 from amazon but it on. Fault code goes, but a new one appears after around 30secs of idling, flashing glow plug light and a code p2 something related to boost control solenoid which points to the actuator side of things.
Clear codes come back more or less straight away.
Install old n75 code goes and car drives without error.

So I sent amazon one back and got one from ebay. Installed same issue glow plug light flashing on idle again straight away Put old n75 back on, fault goes.

I know the old n75 under a vacuum test is leaking a bit of air compared to a new one hence the changing of it. But doesn't throw a fault.

So the question is... Do the n75 valves need adapting like in obd11 I do have the pro version of this, can really see anything related.
Do you have to drive the car for a bit for the ecu to pick up the new n75, like a boost cycle or something?.

Or are the n75 pattern parts just rubbish?

Anyone else seen this?
Car is a tdi gt 170 2012
Thanks
