Would you recommend an APR reflash?

Looking to get an APR tune for my 2012 scirocco 2.0tsi (stage 1), I have APR ignition coils and I have no bolt-ons so far, might get a downpipe but that’s as far as my mods will be till I can save for a proper build. The local dealer for the tunes says I only need to pay the difference if I’d like to bump up another stage or 2.
