Fancy your GT with a bit of dealer installed .:R

Post by wigit »

so your paranoid about your warranty and not a modder but fancy some hassle free perfomance upgrades to your car installed by your dealer (when new or at a later date) with a full mechanical warranty that sits along side the remainder of the VW one

how about 250bhp and 380Nm (yes 380Nm for the missinformed who keep quoting limits of 350NM)
performance rear exhasut
perfomance filter

alternatively you may want some lower supsension

well it looks like it could be coming soon to some dealers ;)

Sounds interesting . Would make sense really when you look how much aftermarket tuning and modifying kit is about. VW are bound to want a slice of it. Ford do it, Vauxhall do it. About time!
So any further info or just a teaser for now?

its not going to be the most cost effective way of doing these mods but can fully understand why people would go down the route and sets a precident

looks very like VW Racing are on the scene. What price is the rear exhaust and air filter?

oooft, that'll be damn expensive!!

A lot of the gear is just regular aftermarket stuff anyway, just with a little bit of racing branding and price mark-up. . .

it sure is expensive if you go through your dealer and want three years warranty and no hassle as its based on dealer labour rates, all the stuff is on their website anyway and if you long for VWR better going to source

it's always the way, I sold ralliart parts and there were huge price differences. At least if you fit any of the stuff the only thing the warranty could pull you on would be on bad fitting.

I've just ordered a rear exhaust from vwr, it's made by milltek for vwr and carries their lifetime warranty. It's also slightly cheaper than the milltek version.

My best mate is a vw tech so I could hopefully get the springs through VW and he could fit them on a saturday, that's my plan anyway ;)

Originally I was going to buy some springs and do that anyway but if the springs from Vw are not to expensive I would get them to help with the warrenty.
