Hey All,
Haven't inspected but I have a 2011 2.0 TFSI with the CCZB - I believe this means I'll have the bad tensioner design which I'll be checking soon; especially as I have no invoices from the previous owner indicating this work has been done (although maybe I wouldn't have invoices if it was done under warranty?)
Is getting the tensioner replaced an engine-out job? I believe I read somewhere in the golf it isn't, but in the Scirocco it is - despite the Scirocco being wider it somehow has a smaller engine bay, or something?
Am asking as I also have the clutch-mooing and want to uprate the intercooler, and if the engine has to come out for the tensioner, I might as well get it all done at the same time (don't tell my wallet ).
Best,
Fisher
