Faulty paddle shifters

Hi
Both paddle shifters not working. Inherited with the car.
Code 18275 databus drivetrain missing message of steering columns election.
49682 lost communication with steering column control module.

Can anyone help?

I suppose taking it to your local VW repair shop is out of the question.
