How do you tell what bhp your car has
I’m about to get a 1.4tsi 2010 , I’m getting conflicting reports of the engine being 120bhp or 160bhp according to hpi check , how do you tell ?

If it's a 2010 1.4 TSI then it will be a twin charger engine, which has both a supercharger and a turbocharger. It has a power output of 160PS (158bhp). Just be aware of the common issues with this engine. Plenty of info on this site as well as other VAG forums.
The 1.4 TSI with only a turbocharger didn't come out until later and has a power output of 122PS (120bhp)

Thanks for that it’s covered 121,000 miles had a recon gearbox and new clutch , I’m hoping it’s ok , I’ll give it a good test drive and search the forum for common faults
