Scirocco - ? Relay 109

I have had intermittent starting problems for months now. The car from cold starts either first time or turns over and fails to start with an "ESP fault" displayed. I was suspecting this to be the diesel draining back in my earlier post on this but now suspect it to be the infamous "Relay 109" fault typical on many VWs and Audis. However I cant find reference to a Relay 109 on the Scirocco so can anyone help by telling me if there is indeed a Relay 109 on the Roc or an equivalent with a different number?
