Just got my first R! Want to change oil and filter but wanted to see what recommendations you have for best oil to use.

Castrol Edge 5W30 or 5W40 Castrol Magnatec 5W30 or 5W40. that what they put in the car during service at VW.

Any brand of 5W30 oil that meets or exceeds specification VW504.00.
