What can options be retrofitted?
Was looking at different roc's and just wanted to know what options can be retrofitted to a roc?
Re: What can options be retrofitted?
And cruise control.
Re: What can options be retrofitted?
....and a Sunroof if you can borrow a set of tin snips or an angle grinder.

Re: What can options be retrofitted?
Pretty much all of them bar the sunroof.
Easy ones are :-
Tyre pressure monitor
Cruise
Sat nav
Xenons

Re: What can options be retrofitted?
thanks guys, im glad that most options can be retrofitted.if xenons can be retrofitted are these oe xenons or aftermarket versions and how complicated is it to do so.
also what leather trimmers will give can oe look to the car's leather while offering good quality work. Is it possible to retrofit folding mirros and the winter pack?
I guess dynaaudio can't be retrofitted? (although that probably means i can fit some nicer ICE!)

Re: What can options be retrofitted?
bare in mind that retrofitting of most of these options will cost a lot more if they are from vw
bar maybe the leather which can be done by other companies for a similar price

My car is now for sale, for just £16,000, fair price so please no silly offers

Re: What can options be retrofitted?
I guess your talking about using a vw dealer to fit the parts will be the expensive route? what are the alternative avenues to use that will offer the good quality work but lower labour rates than vw dealers.
Re: What can options be retrofitted?
VW Leather has always been pretty poor, a retrim will be better quality and cheaper in my experience should be able to get it done for around £1200. If you need any help on a reputable company give me a shout.youvebinaced wrote:bare in mind that retrofitting of most of these options will cost a lot more if they are from vw

Sat Nav is very easy to fit yourself and the RNS510's are readily available on ebay from £550 upwards
Obviously if your not handy enough to retro fit then your going to have to pay but most VW specialists should be up to the job.
Re: What can options be retrofitted?
thank you for very helpful info. i shall be definatley be looking for a little guidiance from you in the near future! Im guessing that think trimmers will be able to match the colour of truffle (but exceed the oe quality) thats good news to me!
thanks again.

You can be imaginative than truffel

If I was paying for a retrim i'd be getting a different colour as I think its poor only having two factory choices.

Re: What can options be retrofitted?
I agree with you but it might look a little too aftermarket for me! though red leather on a silver roc would look lovelyCandy Monster wrote:H1 OLA wrote:thank you for very helpful info. i shall be definatley be looking for a little guidiance from you in the near future! Can you retro-fit folding door mirrors ?
Re: What can options be retrofitted?
I havent seen a guide for retrofitting tyre pressure monitiors, im hoping someone will come along with some info shortly. Though i think vw can retrofit ot for you.
As for folding door mirrors I dont know about that but as the max power brigade can fit folding door mirrors onto their cars it should be possible to do.

I asked my dealer, and he said it needed new brakes and wirering...

In other words, he had no idea what he was talking about.

If You are brave though, You could try to install the retrofit kit for the Golf V from Kufatec.de.

Re: What can options be retrofitted?
Hi, did anyone find out if the tyre pressure monitor can be retrofitted? My cars arrived at the dealers and I popped in today for a look and everythings on it, apart from the tyre pressure monitor which was on the order sheet! A bit pissed about it, and not sure what to do! Do I tell them to stick it and get me the car I ordered? I'm torn!! Why buy a new factory specced car, if there just gonna send you something you dont want!
Any info would be great, Alan. PS, the car looks awesome!

Re: What can options be retrofitted?
Alan - If you checked for the tyre pressure monitor by simply looking for the button by the gear stick, then you won't find it there anyway - In the new Sciroccos (MY2010 models) the tyre pressure button has been relocated to inside the glove box. Check there!
