tsi sounding like a diesel

hi all,
vw scirocco 2008 2.0t tsi 200hp dsg...
making bad noise that seems to be more noticeable at the right side of the camshaft and injectors sound a bit loud,
also at startup i hear a slight rattle for a second or 2, i noticed the car sounded louder than normal yesterday when reversing (very tappy) and now i popped the bonnet and it sounds like a diesel,
ive heard the cam chain tensioner could be bad but would that make noise the opposite end of the cam also? heres a link to the video:

2.0 tsi has a chain i thought, maybe the chain is streched?
But replace the chain tensioner as soon as possible don't take any risk.
Performing a compression test is also a good idea.

its at the garage now they are telling me they need to remove rocker cover to see, not till monday though

High pressure fuel pump tappet/follower could be worn - thats on opposite side of the chain.

if its that is that a big job to fit? i have a feeling thats where he said it was quite loud
