Technical Issue with Scirocco Apparently

Post by IROC-CH »

Hey how are you all doing?

So here is the story ordered the car 21 March 09 and meant to take delivery 1st July 09, this was pushed back a couple of weeks due my slot at the factory being bumped down. Acceptable. So I am still waiting for my car which was in Zurich last week Wednesday 8th July. So I have been pushing the dealer to get my car and get it to me.

Anyway I get an email today saying that there is a technical problem with a few Scirocco and they are unsure when I am going to be getting it and he will let me know this friday.

I called the dealer and requested that he tells the what the technical issue is , he said that a few sciroccos with NAV installed something to do with the GPS they think and they are waiting for a part. Now this sounds a bit out of the ordinary to me as I am sure that this would have failed inspection along the chain before being passed on to the dealer's central dispaching area?

Has anyone anywhere had their delivery delayed due to a 'Technical' problem? something just does not sounds right with this picture. Or a VW trying to by some time as they have done something wrong as in not fitted the NAV or the wheels or the engine?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

I just want my car i see others around and I am super jealous mind you they are the baby ones :shake: :shake:

Sounds plausable, i doubt they check every function of the sat nav on every car at the factory.
