Help! Engine making funny noise

So my oil light came on and when I got home the engine started making this weird squeaking/rubbing noise. I've tried to attach a video but it's too big, does anyone know what it might be? I've topped it up with some oil but it's still doing it

No idea mate, the noise seems to be intermittent, I don't think it sounds like a tapping but would engine damage make that sqeeking noise

When you say the oil light came on. Did it come on yellow letting you know the level was low or red with beeping signifying low oil pressure?

Can you locate what part of the engine it's coming from.

It was the yellow light saying oil level low with a picture of an oil can

Yeah it was pretty empty on the dipstick so I topped it up, but I was on my way to work so drive a fair few miles with the light on. It's weird because it wa services a couple of months ago

The light comes on long before you do any damage so I think it's just coincidence you are getting the noise at the same time. If it was red and due to low oil pressure now that's a different matter These engines are known to use a bit of oil so it's important you check it regularly.
