Retrofit Radio Functionality

Hello,

I'm new to the forum so I'm sorry if this is supposed to be somewhere else. I'm considering upgrading the rcd 510 to a retrofit Pioneer Avh-x8700bt as it has android auto. One thing I'm worried about is losing the functionality of having the a/C control appear on the head unit and the info in the mfd can anyone confirm that it will either still be there once I retrofit the unit into the car. You have to inform if this radio has canbus functionality, there are specials modules to do this.
For Kenwood you need caw kimun 1 interface but don't know if Pioneer has these interfaces.
Other option is alpine.

I wont be fitting it myself ill probably bring it to Halfords. This is the spec of the radio http://www.pioneer-car.eu/eur/products/ ... ifications" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; im not sure if it has the canbus feature that you are mentioning how would i find that out. Thanks

Ask halfords about it then they can sort it out.
This is the easiest way.
