short lists for some categories are a bit random, gone for the tactical vote of going for the old ball in other categories to give the scirocco a chance, the seat altea freetrack deserves a chance
Looks like the sports car reviews will be on this sunday as the freeview programme description is of last weeks luxury car reviews so they must have got the week descriptions mixed up. Hopefully the scirocco will be on!!
'Rocco looked superb against the other short listers.... the track review was very favourable given the price (was never gonna come top against the more powerful & expensive TTS, Evo or 911) however it came top on the wheel change test... whoo hoo (I think !) what a daft test...
Had to turn it off, have never watched the program before and doubt I ever will again, the guy that tested the cars round that wet sand ciruit???? Didnt have a clue what he was talking about!
It wasnt funny, it certainly wasnt factual and it made 0 sense
Car is now Sold!!!!! BMW 7 Series for now as nice and big but holding out for something a little special as my toy
given the dire dave effort tonight and 5th gear tried it on sand maybe i'll stick to tarmac and buy a landrover if i want to go off road, here is hoping tg review it on a track

...for sure...jeremy loves the car more from his beloved gti!
just watched the review on dave and what a pile of sh*t. They spent more time on the 4 x 4 school run wannabe wag mobiles then they give the sports car to some injury prone past it sportsman who drives it round a muddy track then they give it to some anoraks to see who can change a wheel the fastest what the f**k has that got to do with a car of the year review. The worst I have ever seen then I didn't expect much when the programme is presented by that clown johnny Vaughan all we needed would have been his side kick denise van outen. Well at least she is better to look at
I didn't quite get the point of the 'tests'. Four wheel drive car beats fwd round a wet muddy track shocker. Hardly a surprise.
Would have been much better to do a proper 5 minute road test on each car. The tyre changing thing was pointless too.
I really hope it's on this season of Top Gear though.

Would have clearly been a much better programme if the rocco had been voted higher
Not really I couldnt care a less if it had come last, but it would have been better to test the cars properly, the comments about the Evo were comical, and the monley thinks a standard 911 carrera is a performance match to and EVO X 360!!!? It would destroy the porsche hands down any day of the week any climate. especially on a wet sandy track lol which of course we all bought our cars to drive on
This is car of the year awards pah complete tosh, I'd even take Vroom Vroom more seriously and thats saying something lol
