Hello,
I've had a search around, and can't find anyone else having this problem, and I've mentioned it to my local VW dealer, and they're not familiar with it. Here's what happens:
1. I have my heater set to full hot, AC off. Lots of nice toasty hot air blowing at me.
2. I park the car.
3. A day or two later, I get in the car, start it up, and don't touch the heater controls (i.e. I leave it on full hot).
4. After 10 minutes, I curse at the stupid car for taking forever to warm up, as it blows tepid/coldish air at me.
5. I turn the heat knob down to the middle (12 O'clock) setting, then immediately back to full hot. Voila! It now blasts me with lovely hot air.
It's as if the car's software defaults the heater to the middle setting whenever I first start the car, and does not change the heat setting unless the heater temperature control knob is moved, then it realises that it should be blowing hot. I don't think this happens every time I start the car - I don't know if it's only if the car has been sitting in the garage for a few days or something entirely random.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Just put it on auto 25 degrees, and you don't have this problem. You can also try basic setting of the climatronic flaps. Push and hold the air to the face button and ac button at the same time for a few seconds.
Then it will adapt and after a few minutes it finishes. Maybe it solves the problem. But just let it stay on auto is a better solution i think. Or do you have a not automatic climatronic?

No, I haven't got the climatronic system. This is like mine:
