151 2.0TDI few issues......

Post by noelio »

Hi guys

I picked up a March 2015 2.0 TDI 150HP Sirocco about 2 months ago. 7000 km on the clock so it was as new.
I brought it into the dealer a few days ago as I'd a few noises I want to get looked at.

When both passenger and driver air con are both at high there is a squeal from the motor. They've ordered a new motor for it.
The rear window doesn't defog 4 lines together - they've ordered a new window
There's a noise like a rattling coming from the engine bay - they couldn't determine exactly what it was but believe its the timing belt so they've ordered a new kit.
Gearbox adjustments as a lot of the gears weren't engaging smoothly

I get that these are all small things so I'm not concerned by them. However, I'm having an issue where the forced DPF seems to be happening every second day. They checked it out and couldn't find any issues. I have the car maybe 8 weeks and have done a 500km round trip every weekend on main roads / motorway. So I might arrive back on a Sunday after a 500km round trip and by Tuesday the forced DPF regen may be happening. During the week I average maybe 20km per day of city driving but i would have thought after the long drive every weekend there would be no need for a forced DPF regen to happen. Current mileage 13000km

Any thoughts?

Thanks guys

The forced regen happens every +/- 600 km / 380 miles even when the soot level isn't very high. It's also switched by soot level. It doesnt matter if you take long trips. I have an polar Fis pf03 and can see the soot level in the mfa. The faster you drive the quicker the soot level rises. It doesnt decrease when driving fast what most people are thinking.
