Engine management light "ghost code"

Engine management light "ghost code"

Car needed serviced so as usual it counted down the days etc, a few days after "service now" was shown an engine management light came on.

Took it for a service to local independent garage, they also checked the engine management light and told me it was just a "ghost code" like a glitch which made it appear.

They removed the error code and the car was fine for a few days but now it has came back on.

I don't have the actual error code but does anyone have any ideas?

What does the interval timer say now? Km, days?
Maybe they didnt reset it properly. You have to do a sri reset with vcds if its on longlife interval. With fixed interval resetting with the mfd will do.
