Dashboard trim
So I was thinking of taking apart all the dashboard trim's and then painting them. Was thinking of taking them off and using plasti-dip. Would this work?
Re: Dashboard trim
Plastidip should work, I've seen some awesome finishes using paint, primer and lacquer from Halfords. I'm going for that option best of luck and don't forget the photos man!

Re: Dashboard trim
Yeah iv'e seen some really nice stuff done, got a few tips from someone off the forum as well. I'm going to go for vinyl wrapping it myself now, it looks surprisingly more simple than I thought it would be and its still quite cheap. Going to go for a nice matte finish. Will definitely post up some pics!Jester wrote:Plastidip should work, I've seen some awesome finishes using paint, primer and lacquer from Halfords. Re: Dashboard trim
Those trims are looking nice! I'm going to be doing mine gloss black. Have bought the paint and tools. I have had a play with most parts I want to paint however the glove box strips and the one behind the steering wheel on the left are quite on there. Is it a case of brute force and determination? I'm really worried I will snap them!

Cheers!
Yeah I was quite cautious as well, was really worried about snapping the clips! Just get a trim set and go around it carefully. put pressure on the points where the clips are so i'd just unclip a part, then run the trim tool as far along as i could then pry it open and continue down. Just take your time and youll be fine

Re: Dashboard trim
The quality of the wrap seems pretty good (£3.74 on Amazon)... I am really happy of how well it turns out seeing this is my first time doing some wrappings! We shall wait and see if the wraps last! (I hope they do!)
Just want to wrap everything! lol
